Unity Build

What is a Unity Build?

The 2019 Unity Build is an interfaith effort of Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity designed to bring people together from within and across different faith groups to learn about one another while building homes and hope in RVA.

The 2019 Build for Unity will kick off in July 2019 and run through February 2020. The goal is to raise $100,000 and enough volunteer engagement to build two–yes, two!– homes for hardworking families in our community.

We will be building two homes consecutively in the Maymont neighborhood, both on Kansas Avenue, which will finish the improvements to this wonderful cul-de-sac. The transformation for this street and our Partner Families will be a true blessing.

As a partner in the 2019 Unity Build, you and your place of worship will be putting God’s love into action to build a better community. Additionally, you will be joining hands with brothers and sisters from other faiths and from within your own congregation to help change lives through affordable housing!

Be a Sponsor!

Congregations and individuals who donate $500 or more will be recognized as Unity Build Sponsors in all Unity Build promos! We will work with you to arrange a date(s) for your congregation to work on the build site if you desire and you will be a special guest at the Home Dedication to see the fruits of your generosity.
